Band of the Day: The Constantines. Bry Webb: I want to have your children. And I'd probably name one of them Bry because it's just such a great name.
So, I went to McDonalds today to write stories about people. The weather was already reminding me of just about every day in England, and then it came back to me. One of the greatest things I realized while at Capernwray, with the help of my good friend Sharelle Drewlo.
The universal truth of McDonalds employees is this: you really aren't loving it.
Particulairly that girl in Lancaster. Sheee was not a happy chappy..
Another fond memory? The 'millies and steeks', aka, english hicks. Fantastic.
annnd i'm back to the books.

just kicking it in boots, that catalouge store (i remember and then forget again as time goes on)..got it...argos.
and then last but in no way least, getting a mcflurry from that mcdonalds girl that hated her life. just picturing her with that pissed off face, and the i'm loving it hat. oh man, i could laugh for hours.
thanks for the lancaster reminder. i think that made my day. mcdonalds as inspiration. nice choice my friend.
hey - did i mention i missed you?
I know this isn't Sharelle's blog, but your post reminded me of a "Sharelle/McDonald's/Lancaster" memory. I loved the fact that Sharelle would order the quarter pounder with cheese and pickles, but then remove the pickles before eating the burger. One time I asked her "Why don't you just order it without pickles?" and her reply was something I will never forget, "I like the pickle essence."
