hit in the face with a tether ball...

I kind of feel like I've just stabbed myself with reality..."bonnie, you can't write. you butcher attempts at eloquence, and articulance is consistently a fluke..."*

Speaking of reality, it occured to me last night as a trusty and beloved Reverand pointed out that he was a "realist". (I realize I'm going to get some hate mail over this...buuut the other topic on which I'm trying to post iiis just killing me* and I need to distract myself*) It seems to me, that I've met a hundred people who'd call themselves "realists" (some in stead of adorning themselves with either optimism or pessimism but don't even get me started on that bull...shiza), and perhaps one who'd call himself a 'fantastic' and never a realist.

Isn't this just the problem? We all believe ourselves to be realists, though we all assume we are the only realists, that is, our belief of reality is the difinitive. Well, that's a little extreme but get over my suffocation in language and work with me. A more gentle understanding, I guess, would be to say that we are all realists, and yet consistently disagree on what's to come of reality. So perhaps we're all fantasy driven.

Whoa, deep. And yesterday, I decided that the Trinity is best understood in Love. The Lover, Beloved and the Love Itself. Thaaaat made my year.

Gotta love that coherence. A better, more interesting post coming your way...trust me.

I would agree. we are all driven to the idea of fantasy instead of reality. it's easier. it's better. it's more hopeful. (or can be.)
somehow, my mind connected this idea of realism to the idea of taste... you said we all believe ourselves to be realists, and we all assume we are the only ones.
i agree. this seems to be the same for taste...(or temperature gauging for that matter,as we have talked about before.)
we always consider ours to be the best taste, in music, books etc. and ours to be the best judgement of a comfortable temperature for everyone in the room. these are the reason we hold onto our tastes so tightly. in the same way, we hold on to our perceptions of the world so tightly. they work the best for us.
there seems to be some ways in which we don't seem to be able to step outside of ourselves.
and don't get me started on the suffocation of language.
does this make sense? no.
is it relevant? no.
oh well. i tried.

love the trinity. without trinity, there is no real definition of love.

Bon,
in regards to the Trinity.
I think you meant to say "I heard and decided it was accurate that the Trinity is best understood in love". Not that you were trying to poach off Augustine's thought as your own.
I think i understand.
wait...
